Pete the Pirate is calling all Pirate Classmates of 1965 to join in a 56th Class Reunion October 29 and 30, 2021.
The 3Sixty DZP Ballroom, 7312 Cherokee Plaza (halfway between Meridian and MacArthur) is still reserved for our class for Friday, Oct 29 and Saturday, Oct 30. The owner/manager was very pleased to hear we were going ahead with our reunion this fall. So far we are looking at the same format for the weekend: Friday evening a casual Meet and Greet with hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar then Saturday evening a little more formal sit down dinner and lots of time to catch up on the last 56 years. (Some of us have great grandchildren to talk about.)
The Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott, 5700 NW Expressway, is next door to the ballroom and their room rates are: $89.00 for King, $99.00 for 2 Queen and $99.00 for 2 room suite. Due to sports teams being in town they will not block rooms for us. If you are interested in staying with them please call 405-605-6666 to make your own reservation.
Now for the rest of the story: The PC Alumni Association Fundraiser Pancake Breakfast is Saturday, Oct 30 in the High School Cafeteria and the PCHS All Classes Reunion is back on for Sunday, October 31, 2021. The 50 year Class of 1971 will be honored that afternoon in the High School Auditorium and we will have refreshments in the cafeteria afterwards.
The Putnam City School Museum will be open for the entire weekend and of course our own, Mike Brake, makes sure there is plenty of our 1962-65 memorabilia out for us to walk back in time and remember the days of our youth.
This is really important as your Reunion Committee will be meeting face to face soon to begin planning and organizing. Will you help us know if you think (at this time) you will be attending by replying back to me ASAP?
Looking forward to another great Class of 65 Reunion,
Once a Pirate…Always a Pirate
