Oklahoma State All-Americans In the 74 years of the NCAA tournament, Oklahoma State has had more All-Americans than any other school in the nation. OSU has had 206 wrestlers earn All-America honors 401 times, and at least two competitors have been honored in every NCAA tournament except 1993. Seven wrestlers won All-American honors in 2004. Johnny Thompson and Tyrone Lewis each became four-time All-Americans. Only seven other wrestlers in the history of the program have accomplished that feat. Chris Pendleton captured his first title and was an All-American for the second time. Jake Rosholt came back to take third-place after capturing the title last season at 184 pounds. Zack Esposito lost in the title match at 149 pounds, but secured his first All-American honor. Johny Hendricks got his career started as an All-American by finishing fifth, while Will Gruenwald went out with a bang getting seventh place and garnering All-America honors for the first time in his four year career.
