John Tillman
John "Duane" Tillman, born 12/8/49 in OKC, departed this life on 2/20/10. Duane loved and lived life for Cutter, his yellow Lab, and Sweet Pea, his black cat. Cutter and Sweet Pea were his source of strength as were summer sunsets on his beloved hill. Many have seen the fruits of his labor as a master carpenter. Duane took great pride in his work because his dad has always taught him, "If you are going to do something, do it right, or don't do it at all," which truly showed in his work. Duane was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Tillman, who he loved dearly. He is survived by Sandi Cooper, companion of over 25 years. Surviving family members include his father, John Tillman; 3 children, Chris, Heath & Stephanie and grandchildren; sister, Lisa Bruno & husband Mark; brother, Tim Tillman & wife Denise; Sandi's children, Kim, Shawn & Garrett; nieces and nephews, Taylor, Travis, Lauren & Mitchell; and many other relatives and friends. Duane devoted time and attention to his "little ones," buying their first fishing poles and teaching them the art of fishing. His "little ones" include Morgan, Elizabeth, Christopher and others. Lest we not forget, Summer Dawn. You are now at peace. Until we meet again, we will miss you each and every day. God bless you. Memorial services will be Fri., Feb. 26, 3:00pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel, Bethany, OK. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: The
