James M. ''Cris'' Criswell, age 60, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2010, from a sudden illness in Baylor-Grapevine Texas Hospital. He was born to Gloria and J.B. Criswell on December 29, 1949, in Oklahoma City, and graduated from Putnam City High School in 1968. He owned the convenience store, Whit's Little Store, on N. Council, before moving to Sylmar, CA, suburb of Los Angeles. He formed his own business, ''Star Claims'', a very successful insurance adjuster and investigation firm covering the Los Angeles area. He handled many claims for insurance companies regarding cases of child and elder abuse, notable major lawsuits, accidents and many movie stars claims. He retired to Trophy Club, Texas, so his beloved wife could be near her family. He was preceded in death by his father, survived by his wife, Karen, twin daughters, Eryn Criswell, Buena Park, CA, Robyn Criswell Baggett, Portland, OR, step-daughter, Kimberly Grimm, Justin, TX, 3 grandchildren, and his mother and step-father, Gloria and Allen King of Oklahoma City.
