OCTOBER 27, 28, 29TH 2017
Hampton Inn Northwest, Oklahoma City. 3022 Northwest Expressway. Phone 405-947-0953. Room Rate $99 plus tax with complimentary breakfast. Mention PCHS class of 1954 for discounted rate. Deadline for this rate is October 11, 2107.
Register with us Friday afternoon, evening or Saturday. We want a list of all classmates that join us. We reserved a meeting room for Friday noon until Sunday noon. The room is ours for visiting whether staying at the hotel or not. It is located on the entry-level, left and across the hall from hotel registration A table will be set up for memorabilia you may wish to share. There will be a registration sheet, name tags and a class list on the table for changes id address, email or other phone numbers.
Bob and Sharon Pickett are purchasing sandwich trays for dinner Friday evening. Snacks, dips and sweets will be most appreciated if you wish to bring something. Soft drinks, water, beer and wine will be available. Ed Goodman is donating the wine. Jackie Jinks Shilling graciously provided her home for planning the reunion. We had a great turn out with Roy Avants, Dan Coates, Joyce Guilliams, Judith McKean, Jackie Krutsinger, Bob and Sharon Pickett, Jim Weaver, Ellen Weaver, Carl Wimberley and myself attending It is such fun just seeing one another and sharing stories at this time in our lives.
I think basically we decided to discuss what we want for other meals Friday night after eating. One of the nice things about where we are staying is we can bring in lunch and dinner if we choose. It will be great having time for more visiting and sharing our famous tales of high school.
I talked with Dan Coates recently. He is dealing with double vision from an accident. Because he can’t drive at this time he may well stay at the hotel for the reunion. For those of you that don’t care for driving after dark come join all of us!!
The group decided not to include a registration fee but ask those attending to make a donation for expenses being incurred. It will be greatly appreciated. We have been using money left over from our 60th Reunion for food, drinks, mailing cost and room rental but funds need to be replenished.
Those of you planning to be there please let Bob Pickett, Jackie Shilling or me know for a head count. Those that can no longer travel, we would love hearing from you. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
If you have changes to be made for the roster or know changes in the lost or deceased list, please let me know. Dan Coates recently found information on Julia Shields Mills. She lives in Norman and hopes she joins us this year.
